Volunteers Needed

As you no doubt know, Nitin will soon be embarking on a nationwide tour in celebration of his upcoming new album London Undersound.

Tickets are on sale for all dates now, but how would you like to go for free?

We are looking for 2 Nitin fans for each date of the tour to spend some time handing out flyers promoting the new album as people arrive at the venue. In return for this you will receive a pair of free tickets to the evening’s show!

Interested? Send an email to Pete@CookingVinyl.com stating which date of the tour you would like to cover.

The tour dates in full are:

  • Oct 27/08 - Manchester Academy
  • Oct 28/08 - Birmingham Town Hall
  • Oct 29/08 - Bristol Anson Rooms
  • Nov 1/08 - Sheffield Leadmill
  • Nov 3/08 - Leeds Stylus
  • Nov 5/08 - Cambridge Junction
  • Nov 6/08 - Brighton Corn Exchange
  • Nov 7/08 - Oxford Academy

Count me in for any help promoting Nitin's Bristol show. I live and work here and have a lot of green and peacenik contacts in the city. I heard Nitin on Radio 6 on Friday night. I was completely knocked out by Days of Fire. So powerful to hear someone caring, and someone joining up the dots. And all so musically-beautiful, too.

I thought the interviewer, Tom Robinson, was completely off-beam. Why did he not ask more about this song? Instead he kept insisting racism was no longer a problem! Does this guy live in a bubble, or what? Nitin was remarkably OK about this. I was incensed.
