    Re: Not Again!!!

Well, you see, I didn't have their number and, when I checked out Embargo Management's website, it was undergoing something of a facelift and was unavailable. Not being a 'techie', I assumed that Sumit's access to his email might also be compromised, so I sought an alternative route.

Taking my inspiration from the man himself (sorry Sumit, I'm referring to Nitin), I dashed out, purchased some climbing equipment for my backup plan, and a return ticket to Brighton. I dashed straight over to their offices as soon as I arrived (nice touch disguising the building as a B&B, I almost missed it)and tried ringing the doorbell. Nobody answered. I only just managed to thank Nobody for taking the time to alert me everytime I got a PM or a post reply, before the door closed in my face.

Time for the Nitin Sawhney backup plan: abseil down the front of the building, crash through the window and convey my message through the medium of dance.... by the time I managed to haul myself up the facade, scramble onto the roof and secure my rope around the chimney, I barely had the energy to dangle. Undeterred, I lowered myself down until I was level with what appeared to be the window of Sumit's office, kicked against the brickwork and swung back towards the glass, slamming against it with a pathetic thud. I later learnt that Sumit's PA had wisely invested in abseiler-proof glass because she was fed up with having to clear up the mess every time Nitin chose to drop in. She had, rather thoughtfully, taped a note to the pane that read "Gone for a paddle." What a great idea! After rummaging in my pockets for several minutes, I found a stub of pencil and an old bus ticket, wrote on it, pondered as to how I was going to stick it to the glass, spat on the window and pressed the ticket in place. It would've stayed put had the sun not been shining, causing the spit to dry and the ticket to peel off and flutter down past me.

I know, I could've searched the beaches but, by the time I managed to lower myself down and fight my way through a crowd of disgruntled bystanders (they had been shouting "Jump!" from the moment I stepped off the guttering and were clearly disappointed), I had only enough time to race back to the station and catch my train home.

While I sat racking my brains, Rosemary, who is very much a techie and knew enough not to be put off by the state of Embargo's website, succeeded in emailing Sumit who immediately sorted out the forum.

Buga, How on earth did you find Sumit's office if you couldn't find his email address. I find it hysterically funny that you think I am a techie Just a lateral thinker. Although I have discovered that if you want to upload an avatar it has to be under 6KB.

Sumit has done a good job of sorting out the site, though I guess there is a need for vigilance. Spam is likely to crop up whenever there is some activity on the site.
