    The Namesake

Absolutely beautiful this score is! The classical singer in the opening titles score typifies culture what we as Indians have known and sometimes unwillingly have to leave behind. The soundtrack sums up displacement and diaspora perfectly

With Nitin sawhney's music it has been one thing after the other. I did not know he had done namesake soundtrack i so so loved it and then after that i found out that he had done Lila Says too. I just absolutely fell in love with the background score on the films website.

I really wonder what bonds you to a particular kind of music and  what it connects to deep down?

Agreed!! The score was amazing and the movie was good to boot. Just wondering if Nitin's planning on any gigs in Toronto anytime? It would be great if he did come this way.
