Cheesy fan mail forn New York

I attended my cousins wedding in England and her wedding video consisted of Nitin Sawhney’s songs. I’m certain the entire wedding video consisted of his songs although I’m not hundred percent sure. I loved the soundtrack to her wedding video, it was so different than your typical Bollywood hits. But since I had never heard of any artist named Nitin Sawhney, I figured the editor must have randomly got different songs for the video, it was later that I found out she actually requested he used Nitin Sawhneys songs.

One day a friend whom I met through myspace sent me a song called “sunset,” I loved it the very first time I heard it. I loved the beat, I loved the fact that it worked so well with an English verse. So I decided to look for more songs from the artist. Soon every single song I heard became my favorite. I looked up Nitin Sawhney on Wikipedia, You Tube and Googled him and started to familiarize myself with his music.

I simply love the fact that he uses all these different language and it works so well with each song. I tried to get a few people to listen to his songs but they never loved it as passionately as I did. It made me wonder how he can be so popular among the desis in Europe and not so much here in U.S, well New York to be more specific. I almost gave up on getting people to like his music as much as I did, until I met a fellow music lover. I emailed him a few songs to get his reaction, and he fell in love with it instantly.

So now I consider myself a faux Niting Sawhney publicist, I’m trying to get everyone I know to like his music. I just can’t wait for him to come to New York and perform in a park under a starry night while we sip on wine and appreciate his great art. And of course when the time comes where I get to show my photographs in a gallery, his music will be playing in the background. :D

Perhaps you could try exposing some of your more challenging potential 'converts' to a few of the remixes from the "All Mixed Up" album.  By the time they've realised whose music they're listening to they'll be hooked!!

As for your posting 'Cheesy fan mail', don't worry sweetie, you're in good company on this forum since most of us are just plain crackers....
