Dear Oscar,
I don't usually do this kind of thing but I enjoy a little challenge every now and again. Here goes.....
D ( as in move an A up to 7th fret and bar across 5th fret with index finger - please let that make sense!), Am (or Am7 but I don't think so, bit too fluffy!), G and then your bog-standard D, and repeat until you have gained repetitive strain injuries in both wrists.
If I'm wildly wrong then feel at liberty to blame any of the following:
My tuning fork is suffering from metal fatigue.
My guitar is tone mutton Jeff (tone deaf, if you're not familiar with East London vernacular).
My ears need re-stringing.
If all else fails, either work your way through EVERY chord featured on the www.chordfind.com site, then listen intently as hell to the track in question, or bin the guitar and buy a kazoo!
Good luck,
Buga

Well they sound good enough to me - I was thinking Cmaj or Cadd9 for the 2nd chord but Amin (or Amin7) is much better!

Following on from queries about cords for Nitin's songs, I have been trying to work out the guitar tab for O Mistress Mind- I have the first sequence sorted, but then things get a bit tricky
Anyone got any ideas on this, or any other songs
Any ideas much appreciated
Cheers
Gotan

gosh, thanks for the replies.. you're too kind.
Thanks to you guys I'll be able to play this song for my girlfriend ( the past month it became to be 'our' song.. )
P.S: this is a really good forum ( I do not mean the lay out). The fact that Nitin Sawhney himself is able to discuss stuff with his fans onn a descent way is unique, I believe.
'Cheers' ( must be typical English..I'm from Holland) ..

Hello people,
Thanks for all your muso queries..... I find it quite humbling that anyone would go to the trouble of listening to my musical output let alone work out how to reproduce it!
On that subject, to Gotan 1980 the chord sequence for "Waiting (O mistress mine)" is Dm, Dm6/C, Dm6/B, Dm6/Bflat, Dm6/C repeated until the modulation, where it moves to Dm, Dm6/C, G, Fsharp m11, B7, Em9, CM7, Em9, CM7,A/Csharp, Dm, A flattened9th..... then last section just stays on the D minor with the bass moving down chromatically ... ie....Dm, Dm/Csharp etc......you should be able to hear that...... Hope that helps.
Cheers
Nitin
P.S. Bugo was pretty spot on with the chords for Mausam...... She also seems to understand theoretical Physics amongst other stuff which makes me wonder if I might know her....... Anyway.......

Oscar - are you going to sing it too? (haven't a clue about lyrics, perhaps Mr. Sawhney will oblige us...) I forget about things like 'our' songs existing and tend to associate music with other aspects of life...fortunately, I'm going to resist the temptation to wax lyrical on THAT topic, but you have me thinking...what WAS my last "our song"?.... Possibly, "Head like a Hole" by Nine Inch Nails.....
Is everything like this these days?
