Ahhhh, THAT kind  of 'doctor'!!!! You had me wondering for a minute there, Rhian!  Mind you, he'd probably enjoy being the other kind of doctor.... well, I mean, there's the long hours...  Anyway, well spotted  - let me rummage though the emoticons to find an  appropriate treat for you... (if I could only write this post without the damned keys sticking on this pad!!!) ..... no, can't access popups!!!

I'm trapped in an internet cafe - hence dodgy keyboard and over-zealous popup blocker. Returned from Wales last week to discover my box had slipped into a coma and refused to behave. I declared it dead on my arrival, after only a few half-hearted attempts at coaxing it back to life (such would be my bedside manner!) and decided I could just as easily access the internet on my phone.... not quiite!  Seems, for example, that I can log into this forum and even write a post.... just can't actually post it.  Now there's a word that would sum all of that up nicely, but I fear that the automatic censor would simply *** it to death ....

It is an honour for him indeed - though whoever designed the hats for the robes needs shooting.

Actually being a doctor can be useful - I'm married to a Phd holder.  Doesn't normally dwell on it - but if you get shoddy service and then complain as Dr ....., people tend to jump to attention.

I like that hat actually...I think it's the tassels.... I like it so much that I think that Mr. S. - sorry - Dr. S. should wear it on his next tour. Think of how handy it could be. He could have it passed round the audience at some point and collect enough change for a post gig-round at the bar.

I'm a little shocked by you and yours'  reaction to a shoddy service, btw Rosemary.  Wouldn't it be kinder to have a discreet word with the vicar responsible, perhaps voicing your discontent gently over a nice cup of tea and a bun, rather than raging forth, brandishing the Phd? Tongue Tied

Thanks for posting this Rosemary. It's a nice piece of coverage of what must have been a special day for Nitin and his family.

    Re: Dr. Sawhney ! ! !

Well I guess it is quite easy to mix up Rosemary and Rhian - both begin with "R", one is Welsh but doesn't live there and the other is English but lives in Wales.

I stand by my comments about the hat.  With all those film scores Nitin writes, I shouldn't think he needs to do a whip round for the drinks.

Buga, you know ! mean service as in retail/customer service!  Although you know I used to run events with a group of friends - you could say we "displaced the priest"
