    Male vocalist in Homelands????

Nitin you absolute legend. Homelands is disgustingly outragiously incredible. I had it on repeat on the way to work on the dark and dirty tubes in london every morning for about 4 months. Who is the male vocalist that briefly comes in at 47 secs & 56 secs? I can't get over how amazing it sounds. Someone please tell me!!!

Well I think the two vocalists listed are: Nina Miranda and Rizwan-Muazzam Qawwali. See: http://ethnotechno.com/nitin_beyondskin.php

That was well spotted .... on the cd sleeve it actually says Rizwan-Muazzam Qawwali group, but looking at various links on the net, the world "group" is not always included.  They are nephews of Nusrat Ali Fateh Khan.

To listen to some more try www.last.fm/music/Rizwan-Muazzam+Qawwali

..... Yep, been meaning to post here to ask, does anyone know what Rizwan and Muazzam are up to these days, and also that other nephew, Rahat?  Haven't seen R&M since the summer of 2005 and, understandably, they weren't up to sticking round for more than one public performance and a private do.

Perhaps I should be posting this in the 'other music' section but, if you haven't heard it already, "People's Colony No.1", their collaboration with Temple of Sound, is definitely one for the stocking (after you've asked Santa for the complete NS back catalogue, of course!!!) .... and one to play LOUD!!!Lol

I found this link to Rahat, already over a year old www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-8879646.html and a comment at the bottom of a forum for this year www.examiner.com/x-1396-San-Jose-Culture-Examiner~topic39046-Nusrat-Fateh-Ali-Khan
