Hi Nitin,
How are you? I'm doing a project on your music for a piece of coursework at uni. The title is below.
Drawing on an analysis of ONE example from the artistic forms
listed below ( and I chose you), discuss the ways in which it suggests that ‘new
ethnicities’ are being produced and consumed in contemporary
London.
I would like to represent your music and the reasons for you producing it in its true light.
Would it be possible to get an interview with you before Tuesday 24th March? I know this is short notice but I would really like to address some important questions and I think we would both find it interesting.
I'll post the sort of questions I would ask below..
1) How do you think that new ethnicities are being produced in contemporary London?
2) How do you think that new ethnicities are being consumed in contemporary London?
3) Do you have any personal opinion on these last two questions?
4) How does your music reflect 'new ethnicity?'
6) Do you think music comes from the routes you take through life or from your historical routes... or do you think you are a medium through which music is passed?
7) what made you release the album London Undersound?
8) What do you seek through your music?
If you don't have time for an interview then I'd love it if you could just e-mail a couple of answers to me.. but it would be great to meet you..
I hope to hear from you soon!
Best wishes,
Louiza
